  You know, as time passes, places like Peter's get replaced by
  chains or chi-chi restaurants. The way I see it, Peter's is like an
  endengered species, and what a species worth preserving! They
  have the best gyro in town, imho. And you gotta try their
  seasoned french fries--especially with extra By seasoning.
  Yum... There's no pretense there, though: Walk in, shout your
  order over the counter, if you can't find a seat. (Or called ahead
  for pickup.) You're as likely there to rub elbows with the guy
  painting an office as you are with the guys whose corner office is
  being painted. The wall is filled with pictures, often faded from
  age, but not of visiting celebrities (though there's a couple I
  spied) but of customers, friends, and family. Yeah, you'll catch
  me chop-sticking some fancy far east delicacy down the street,
  but for a break from all the pretense and for some down-to-
  earth food, nothing beats Peter's.
