  I have been using this pet shop for well over ten years and it's the best. I bought both of my bunnies there and one lived to be 9 years old. I once stopped off at one of those "large chain" pet stores in Rockville b/c it was on my way home from work and was shocked to find the bedding I use was $2 more per bag. In other words, Bethesda Pet has great service, great pets, and great prices too.

  I love this store and the owners. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I had spent hundreds at the vet for a health problem my dog was having. After talking to one of the owners, she suggested a food change. For the price of a bag of food, my dog's health problem disappeared. My children love coming to the store and the owners are very patient with them. They show the children how to hold the different animals and actually let them hold them.

  Wonderful pet store!! I've gotten all of my birds from these guys. Bob and Kay are just wonderful - they invest so much time in hand training their birds (cockatiels, quakers, conures). I would recommend these guys over Petco ANYTIME. If you want a tame, well trained, healthy bird, then this is the store for you. I especially recommend a visit when the birds are running around in their "play-ground" - a specially adapted critter tank which gives the birds mental stimulation, social interactions and exercise. No wonder their birds are so happy! I guarantee a healthy happy pet.
