I really liked it. We went for the food and not for the night life. It was really excellent and unexpectedly so since there is such a focus there on the night club. The crab cakes were the best I have had in Bethesda, including McCormick's which I also love.

I went back for lunch and it was also very good. Restaurant was kind of empty and it lacked the "ambience" of the evening dinning but the service was excellent and the food was very good too.

The food was excellent. We had the hummus as an appetizer and I
ordered the stuffed eggplant. Ingredients were very fresh, well
cooked, delicious. The service was not great, but okay.

Their website touts "ladies night...ladies free before midnight"....so a friend and I go to take our other friend there for her birthday on ladies night. We cab it there since we were going to drink. We get to the front and a middle aged woman asks us for our coupons...what coupons? Apparently you need coupons to present at ladies night...their website did not say "with coupon" and, silly me, thinking that LADIES would "get in free before midnight" because we're obviously LADIES! So instead of getting in the cab, going home, printing out the coupons and cabbing back, we paid the cover charge...although she did give us a 'break' and 'let' us pay $10 each vs. $15. We went to the bar, bought a bottle of wine and sat outside. We watched this woman let various random women right in, no cover....and I will say that the only women that she refused to let in were white women (which we were) and this is a predominantly african american/persian crowd...in hindsight, we should have left instead of spending our money there on bottles of wine, stewing while we watched this woman let everyone else roam through. We had never been there before, it was my friend's birthday and the lady at the front was really just a #(%*% about things. Perhaps we needed to dress more like hoochies or not wear panties with are 4" long mini skirts...that seemed to be the golden ticket. I called the management to let them know that their website is very misleading and I do believe that they have since changed it,but just in case: "Ladies Night: Ladies admitted free before midnight" translates to "but have a coupon - even though we don't say you need one - or pay $15 at the door"
