  I took my family last night to Javan for dinner. Im glad to say that it was one of the best experiences and meals we have had in a long time. From the location and free parking, to the excellent and extremelly tasty food, to our very profesional and polite server Erick...me and my family extremely recomend Javan for any kind of occasion.

  My boyfriend is persian and we love the food, but have yet to find a place around silver spring and bethesda area. We went here on a suggestion from his brother and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good offering a lot of selections that you can't get around here for a great price. Kubideh was moist and very flavorful. I will definetly be returning.

  Based on visiting this restaurant a few times and having ordered a variety dishes; its great service and selection fails in 2 areas:
  
  1) all items cooked at the restaurant are high sodium; like salt is added to act as a preservative for the dishes; this includes the various appetizers and salad dressing. Both white rice and sabzi polo; fish and kabobs and khoreshts. Everyone else that has dined there, the ones I know, felt why they kill with salt.
  2) rice is not the expected quality and is made like 'kateh' (soft and mushy).
  
  Otherwise, it is an above average Iranian food if you are willing to drink a few bottles of water afterwards to wash the salt.

  My boyfriend and I went there for dinner last night and we will definitely go back. The meat was extremely well seasoned and very moist. Our waiter was really personable and made great suggestions. Portions were good and prices were very reasonable.

  All I have to say is that I have been to multiple Persian restaurants and Javan tops them all. The food is exquisite, great service,people friendly, servers were really nice to my kids , they have great music playing in the back ground , and a great selection of alcohol. So next time when your thinking about going to a Persian restaurant please take this review in consideration and go there I promise you wont be disappointed.
