All I have to say is that I have been to multiple Persian restaurants and Javan tops them all. The food is exquisite, great service,people friendly, servers were really nice to my kids , they have great music playing in the back ground , and a great selection of alcohol. So next time when your thinking about going to a Persian restaurant please take this review in consideration and go there I promise you wont be disappointed. - 5 Stars for Tia Queta by mayorofbethesda on 04/25/08
I think that this restaurant is very good if you just want to relax and have good food and great drinks. I feel there must be a reason why this place has been in Bethesda for over 25 years. I was there last week when the roof open and it was packed, but the staff although busy found time to offer my party drinks as we waited. The only bad thing is that they do not take reservations for the rooftop area, but on a nice night it is well worth the wait. - 5 Stars for Vace Italian Delicatessen by duke94 on 04/22/08

We were the ONLY diners in the restaurant, party of 5. The service was not attentive at all. They stuck us in a corner and forgot about us. We had to make noise at the table to get the waiter to come back. The food was good, but WAY overpriced for what I consider an average meal. Meat was touch and overcooked. Bethesda Crab House has been my "Go-to" place for over twenty years when I get my crab craving. This restaurant serves crabs year round. I always call to make a reservation for my crabs so I am guaranteed the biggest and they are ready when I arrive. The tables are covered in newspaper (I can catch up on the news!) The crabs are hot and fresh, coming from both the Bay and Louisiana. The shrimp are the best- I have never seen or eaten any better or bigger. The crab cakes are consistently awesome, too! They make them in-house with fresh (not pasteurized) crab meat. I have such a great time going with my family or by myself. It's great to know there is a restaurant in Bethesda that has stayed the same since it opened 47 years ago (as the manager recently told me). I highly recommend this place if you love seafood and don't mind gettin' a little messy!!! Remember to keep your suit at home and cruise in for the best crabs around!
