  This used to be a lovely, modest, quiet building. In recent years it has been "updated" and the new residents are mostly spoiled under-30s. My rent went up 7% a year for the last three years, but there was lots more hall noise, along with stuff just left in the hall, trashroom and laundry room. A few times I even came home to beer spills in the elevators. The desk clerk in the daytime is resentful and not competent (although the others were always great). The maintenance staff are great, but they do the renovations and they just can't keep up with the increased levels of trash in public places. My own apartment was wonderful but I just couldn't take being den mother to a frat house - and not while my rent was going up another $100/month every year.

  The landlord will use the contact info on your rental application
  as his personal roladex. Regardless of the matter (ie. you did
  nothing wrong, he just wants to reach you) if you don't return
  his call within THE HOUR he will call your ALL of your credit
  references, personal and employment references with the
  following message " This is (your name) landlord and I have
  been unable to reach her about an urgent matter, please have
  her call me" and his voice will imply that you are in BIG trouble.
  So, if you would like for your employer and your family to think
  that you are evading your landlord or you are having financial
  troubles, fill out an application for Battery Lane Apartments.
  Seriously, I have considered taken legal action his behavior was
  so inappropriate.

  This is a great building filled with a diverse and nice group of people. It is central to everything and maintained very well. The sitting area out front is also beautiful and relaxing.

  Okay, the location is great and the rent is low (relatively), but there are issues.
  
  The management is not so helpful and will not be so available complaining that there is no time as the management recieves "60 calls a day." I have heard of numerous instances where the management has been very rude to female tenants. The walls are all cracked and painted over (rather than fixed). The AC can barely keep temp unless all windows are closed and the main/common area is closed off from the kitchen and bathroom (which don't have working AC units of their own). When work orders are requested to fix the AC notes get left instead in the apartment saying "keeping the blinds closed will help."
  
  But... the location is great...

  The Seasons is great! The people at the leasing office are nice and the residents are friendly. I like the parquay floors and balcony as well as the new appliances. The gym is convenient to get to since it is right downstairs. I really enjoy living here.
